Account & Data Deletion

Tee.box allows users to request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

How to request account deletion

To request deletion of your Tee.box account:

1. Send an email to support@tee.box from the email address associated with your Tee.box account.
2. Use a subject such as “Account Deletion Request”.
3. Include enough information for us to identify your Tee.box account.
4. We may contact you to verify that you are the owner of the account.
5. Once your request has been verified and confirmed, your Tee.box account and associated personal data will be deleted.

If we cannot verify that the request was submitted by the account owner, we may ask you for additional information before processing the deletion.

Data that will be deleted

After your account deletion request has been confirmed, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your Tee.box account, including, where applicable:

• Account information, such as your name, email address, username, and profile information;
• Profile picture and other profile data;
• Golf profile information;
• Golf rounds and playing history;
• Scores and scorecards;
• Golf statistics and performance data;
• Handicap-related information stored by Tee.box;
• Saved golf preferences;
• Location-related data associated with your account;
• Photos, videos, comments, and other user-generated content, where applicable;
• Social connections and other account-related information.

Some information may be anonymized instead of deleted where it is necessary to preserve aggregated statistics or the integrity of games, competitions, leaderboards, or other records, provided that the information can no longer reasonably be linked to you.

Data that may be retained

We may retain limited information after account deletion where necessary for:

• Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations;
• Accounting, tax, or financial recordkeeping;
• Fraud prevention and security;
• Resolving disputes;
• Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.

For example, records relating to purchases or subscriptions may be retained for the period required by applicable accounting or tax laws.

Information stored in technical backups may remain for a limited period as part of our normal backup and disaster-recovery processes. Such information will not be used for normal business purposes and will be deleted or overwritten according to our backup retention schedule.

Where no longer required for these purposes, retained personal information will be deleted or anonymized.

Subscriptions

Deleting your Tee.box account does not necessarily cancel an active subscription purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another third-party payment provider.

You should separately cancel any active subscription through the platform where you purchased it to prevent future renewal charges.
